Computer question. Please be gentle.
I'm running Windows XP on my laptop (Dell Inspiron 1501)and for the last couple of days, when I boot up I get this error message

Error in C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\3\DLCFtime.dll
Missing entry: Run DLL Entry

Is that bad?

thanks in advance

1. Did you use the Windows Update recently?
I noticed that after an Update myself. They probably just screwed something up.

2. I usually do all the automatic updates
and I used my printer (finally) for the first time Friday. I didn't get this message until after I used my printer though.

It works fine otherwise. It's nothing fatal though, right?

3. I've had no problems thus far
So it's probably some obscure, rarely-used file.

4. Just a bit of guessing..
something to do with spool (spooling for printer) and the driver ...maybe check the driver for the printer? Make sure it's installed correctly and/or reinstall it.
These are JUST ideas; be careful and use the backup feature before you do anything.

Google the error as it is and see what comes up. This is how I usually self-diagnose most of my problems, and I managed to do better than MS and HP customer service the last two times I had an issue. (I'm very proud of myself for that!!) If that dosen't work; google troubleshooting for that particular printer, or the error message with that computer model no in the search too.

Good luck.

5. That's it. It's the printer.
I've confused its brains by unplugging my printer.

Thank You!! :yourock:

Problem solved.
