so I'm on the bus this morning... |

Edited on Wed Apr-11-07 11:53 AM by Javaman
and the guy in front of me is fiddling with something in his back pack. All of a sudden he starts looking around frantically.
Although I am reading, I try to keep one eye on my surroundings so I don't miss my stop, but this guy caught my curiosity.
Anyway, he continues to look around and finally he is reduced to looking on the floor for what ever he dropped.
Now the seats are pretty tight, not alot of leg room so, what ever my feet are resting upon, I haven't clue as to what it is until I get up. Many a time I was angered by old gum being stuck to the bottom of my shoe or several other really gross things that shall go unmentioned.
So as the bus continues on it's rocking and rolling path, this guy is now down on his hands and knees on the really gross floor looking for what ever he dropped.
Money? Keys? important paper work?
Finally he spots it. Under my foot.
Politely, he asks if I can move my foot and lo and behold there it is...
a cigarette. This now flattened, lint covered (among other things) butt which at this point has clearly violated the 5 second rule, is just vile to behold.
but the guy grabs it, says thanks.
at the next stop he got off, and immediately lit it up and took a long drag as the bus pulled away.
Now I have never ever smoked in my entire life and never really understood the habit to begin with, but damn, is cigarette smoking addictive to the point of just about licking the floor of a bus to get your fix???
ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:puke:

3. I was riding the bus one morning |
|
and this rather rough looking couple was very busy rolling their own cigarettes (regular ones, not pot) from a pouch of tobacco and rolling papers. They weren't even talking to each other or anything. When they got to their stop, they both charged out and lit them up.

works in the automobile industry. Kind of like the good looking people on the street who talk very loudly about this or that product.

it's a nasty addiction alright.
As long as he cleaned off the filter, he should be fine. There's nothing more toxic on the floor of the bus than there is in the inside of a cigarette. :D
