Boston Legal watchers: help me fill in the last few months?
From Jan. to March of this year, Sinclair Broadcasting held ABC shows hostage in a fight for more money from my local cable company. So I had no ABC for months, and missed all kinds of stuff, like whatever happened between Denny and Bethany, and when/why did Jeffrey Coho leave, when did Denise and Brad get together/when did Denise get pregnant, etc.?

Can anyone give me some info, so I'm not totally lost? I finally saw my first new episode this year last night, and it looks like a few things happened....

Thanks! :hi:

1. I'll do my best.
Denise went through a phase of extreme horniness and started doing the friends with benefits thing with several men. Of course, that's when she got pregnant. She didn't know if it was Brad's or Jeffrey's. Found out it was Brad's, which he was happy about. She still didn't want a relationship with him, because he's so conservative and old-fashioned. But yup, last episode he asked her to marry him and she said yes. I forget exactly why Jeffrey left. I think he just said it was time to move on.

I missed some episodes myself, so unfortunately I missed some of the stuff with Denny and Bethany. It seems that whenever I did see it, they were still seeing each other, she'd get pissed at him for something he did or said and storm out. But then next time, they were together again. I'm not real straight on this. She got mad at him for something he said about Jews (she's Jewish). She told him the word 'midget' is insulting. She made him go to temple with him one day, which was pretty funny. At one point, her mother showed up and it turned out she was someone Denny had hooked up with in the past. (Delta Burke played her.) Then he was worried that Bethany could be his daughter; she wasn't. As you can imagine, this caused a lot of awkwardness. Bethany wasn't exactly comfortable with the fact that he'd been with her mother. Meanwhile, her mother was still trying to jump Denny's bones.

That should catch you up somewhat. As I said, I missed a few things myself.

3. thank you!
I saw some of the Delta Burke episodes, and knew that Denny was continually offending Bethany, I just didn't know what finally broke them up.

I appreciate the update. Fills in a few holes.

4. Coho wanted to be the father but when it turned out to be Brad's he shuffled
out of the firm, dressed as Buzz Lightyear. Kinda funny but the scuttlebutt behind the scenes is that viewers didn't like Bierko (poop on them).

The Denny/Bethany thang is getting kind of old but Denny loves her, even went to rehab (to correct his insensitivity to her being Jewish) to try and repair the relationship.

Jerry "Hands" Espenson has returned, under new medication, that makes him cocky and flippant toward Alan, who brutally cut him down to size and regretted it, yet seems to back in the same mode next week. :-)

Last week featured a terrific "flashback" ep with Denny trying a case with his dad that was nothing short of brilliant. Turns out Denny pulled a courtroom stunt years ago and his dad disowned him.

Clarence and Claire are a couple and Clarence has even tried, and won, a murder case with the help of Paul and Bethany.

Does that help? Probably missed a couple of things.

5. The Buzz on Buzz fight at a party was pretty funny
Brad and Coho show up at a 'come as someone you admire' costume party. Tacky

Denny came in hunting togs with shotgun... Cheney. Bethany came as Danny DiVito, complete with 'comb over hair on top of a bald pate thing-y. Alan came as Shirley, which got Denny sorta hot at the balcony scene.

Funny party

6. Is it just me but whenever I see Alan (Spader) in drag he looks like
Darlene from 'Roseanne'. :dunce:

The costume party is the explanation for why Coho was dressed as Lightyear on his final day, since his fight with Brad broke a strap and he couldn't remove it.

Denny getting hot over Alan in drag was rather disturbing. :o
