recommend books for a Bi high school girl just coming out |
|
On the fiction side, I'm going to give her Rubyfruit Jungle. I will NOT give her The Well of Loneliness!
Any suggestions, fiction or non-?
Thanks

It has nothing to do with being bi, but it is a damn good book.
Best of luck to the young woman; I teach high school and I can only imagine what she is going through.

I think I'll get her that one, too. I have never read it . But she reads a lot, and I know she'll appreciate it.

I'd also get her Fried Green Tomatoes. I read that as a freshman in college. The book is better than the movie.

9. Ohhhh.... a great list from the Bi resource webiste... |
|
I think this is one of the most comprehensive lists I have found: http://www.biresource.org/resources/index.php3?category=37And these are some nice links that I would make her aware of: http://www.bimagazine.org/home/index.htmlhttp://www.biresource.org/And best of luck to her. I came out as a lesbian in high school and then bisexual in my 20s. Each has its own challenges and rewards. Cheers!
