What was the day of greatest traffic for DU, in hits/posts? (Just curious!)

I was thinking 9/11, but DU grew since that date... so my other guesses would be the 2004 or 2006 'elections?'

And - double the curiosity - what was the 'longest thread' - other than that one in the Lounge called 'Please Remove,' LOL!

4. elections are probably the busiest we get here...

so much traffic in fact that there is a DU Panic Room for those that must have their DU fix during Level 5+ catastrophes.

The "Please Remove" thread, I believe, is the longest thread to date. Not sure, but at well over 2200 posts, it appears to be sound bet. :P

5. I just peeked at thread - it's amazing. If the GOP steals 2008, though -

there should be NO posts - as everyone should be travelin' to DC to take back the gov't!
