There comes a time in everyone's life When all you can see are the years passing by

And I have made up my mind that those days are gone

Rascal Flatts - I'm Moving On Lyrics

I've dealt with my ghosts and I've faced all my demons
Finally content with a past I regret
I've found you find strength in your moments of weakness
For once I'm at peace with myself
I've been burdened with blame, trapped in the past for too long
I'm movin' on

I've lived in this place and I know all the faces
Each one is different but they're always the same
They mean me no harm but it's time that I face it
They'll never allow me to change
But I never dreamed home would end up where I don't belong
I'm movin' on

I'm movin' on
At last I can see life has been patiently waiting for me
And I know there's no guarantees, but I'm not alone
There comes a time in everyone's life
When all you can see are the years passing by
And I have made up my mind that those days are gone

I sold what I could and packed what I couldn't
Stopped to fill up on my way out of town
I've loved like I should but lived like I shouldn't
I had to lose everything to find out
Maybe forgiveness will find me somewhere down this road
I'm movin' on

I'm movin' on
I'm movin' on

8. Ha. I've been doing the same thing.
I've now locked myself in a padded room where I can do no damage. No plans to exit any time soon.

I like your haircut!

10. I'm not up to it, my friend.
I have thirty PMs to respond to and I can't do it. I am essentially taking a break from DU, or at least minimizing my time here. I need to start focusing on my life and get it moving forward, you know?

Right now I'm off to bed. Have a wonderful evening, pawpicker.

11. BNL
let's go bungee jumping, or something along those lines

something to challenge the outer limits of our fears

something to make us feel more confident

i first started listening to this song last summer, i know it's been around for a while

it resonated with me in a way that a song hadn't done in a long, long time

then i got shot out of a slingshot at the fair

i hadn't felt like that in a while, silly as it sounds, it was a catalyst for some things that were necessary to change in my life

now, i need that boost of energy again.

i visited lawoman's myspace page, (nee nee) she has pics of jumping out of an airplane. (a perfectly good one too)

i'm thinking that i may try that soon.

push the envelope in one area and it transfers to other areas of your life too.

chin up beautimous!

12. I don't know the song, but...
yes, the years are passing by. However, I'm really starting to appreciate the special moments, whereas I didn't give them a thought before.

For instance, we had a trip all planned out to go to Banff, Alberta for the winter "religious" holidays. Because of the snow crisis in Denver, our flight on 12-23, from Birmingham, AL was canceled, because there were no gates for the plane to land. Okay, cool, for folks actually trying to get home, we wanted them to get home...yet the airline in question could not get us to our destination for several days afterwards...and we were paying for hotel fares in the meantime. Additionally, my spouse's job gives him a slight window of vacation time, so we were giving up those days as well. We changed airlines, and flew red eye to get to our destination a day late. We ended up chasing gates in the Las Vegas airport (which we would've never gone near originally) at midnight. All I can say, is the LV airport at midnight is something every person should have to experience. We LOVED it! And our flight to Calgary at 2 a.m. was cool too, we got there at 4 a.m., with the first bus to take us out to Banff at 9 a.m. (we stretched out on benches to sleep in the meantime). It ended up being a cultural adventure we hadn't planned for. Yeah, originally, we could have talked about flying through Denver to Calgary, nothing special. However, our stories about getting through the crisis, piecing flights together, and flying red-eye to Houston, Las Vegas, to Calgary, and having to sleep in airports, and seeing the people we got to see...

Yes, time passes by more quickly, but I'm learning to become more patient. As I've discovered, there may be some interesting surprises awaiting!

14. Those are great lyrics
I've never heard the song before because I don't listen to country, but if more country artists wrote lyrics like that I'd probably listen.
