REO Speedwagon never kicked ass. That's just another one of those lies old people tell so they won't seem so old. Well...I'm not falling for it, old man!

I do remember seeing the REO on a history of trucks calendar. Amazing how seemingly useless bits of information come in handy at times. God, no wonder I'm a pack rat.

14. I heard of the band before I heard of the truck |

I used to read the Bill Graham Presents calendar in the Sunday SF Chronicle religiously. First time I saw them on a bill, they were opening for somebody. Must've been 1974 or '75.
Good times, good times. :D

First time I ever heard 'em do "157 Riverside Avenue" with Litrell. Always loved that tune, even with Cronin's irritating vocal. It's just a good, no-frills rocker. :headbang:
How'd that dude get his own show, though? Looks like he took a few too many Valium.

4. A damn good performance |

Yes, they've released some absolute cheese, but they could rock when they wanted to.

11. Damn. I wanted to hate that, but that actually rocked a bit |
|
I concede. REO is better than I remember them being. I "saw" them in concert once, heh, but I have no memory of it.

13. Before they sold out to the 'rock ballad' fuckpies |
|
they were a pretty damned rockin' band. Nothin' fancy, just a good party band. Got a bit political, too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwI9aOmYf4M
