1. Didn't think they were geeky at all
Well, the HTML back piece was, but the rest were cool. I especially dug the Star Wars back piece!

8. he was doing a good job on the Star Wars people :o
Even though that's a huge giant tattoo.
Most of the pictures there were dumb.

2. a good friend of mine has "E=mc2" on his knuckles
which I love. He has a whole collection of amazing and funny tattoos, actually.

I thought most of these were just bad. And contrary to the person above, the HTML one is the one I liked.... lol Then again I am a nerd/geek and proud of it.

If so, please post a pic when you're finished!

4. i'm embracing my geekatude..
There were a couple of them that i thought lacked something artistically (the wolf backpiece looks like the poor thing's standing on his head), but most of them i was impressed with.

Then again, i have an anime piece, a comic book piece, and a band logo permanently inscribed into my skin, so what do i know?!

job a former neighbor of mine had: "BORN TOO LOOSE".

7. My older brother has a phone number on his forearm
He had trouble remembering his girlfriend Wanda's number, so he tattooed it into his arm where he could read it.

Poor dunce... she broke up with him 2 weeks later.

anywhere on your body.

9. A guy my husband works with has "Hopless Romantic"
real big on his arm  like an expensive tattoo, hours spent on the mistake.
He's not really an English speaker and his friends and family probably aren't either. Maybe no one's ever gonna tell him what he's got.

An overeager fan went out and got this:

Tattoos really should be planned out a little better by some people.

25. Yep.
It was a really spur of the moment thing too. She posted on their message board asking where she could get a tattoo quick, and everyone there told her to wait, contemplate it for a while, and then have it done by someone reputable. A few hours later she came back and posted that. It was funny, yet sad.

I've been considering the tattoos I'm getting on Tuesday for about two years, and my artist has had a couple weeks to prepare. That's how a tattoo should be done.

and I spent a lot of time and thought on all of them. I don't want to wake up when I'm 80 with Tweety Bird on my ass, wondering what the HELL I was thinking *lol*

17. Most of those are just uncreative and fucking lame.
The HTML tags one is geek cool, and while the Space Invaders one is just a readily recognizable icon devoid of personal creativity, I think it works as geek chic as well - it's simple, it's nostalgic, and it's an important icon.

And the Quake symbol, while also not creative (since it's just copying something out there already) IS a damn cool symbol, so I give props to that one, too.

But all the characters and other shit? It's just fucking lame.

Really fucking lame.

True geekiness requires creativity and uniqueness. Most of those are neither.
