2. Have fun with Dan Simmons. He's a great writer.
Don't read A Winter Haunting unless you've already read Summer of Night, though.

3. Oh BALLS...I was afraid of that....hoped it would stand on its own w/o havin' read the other one....
...they didn't have Summer of Night DAMMIT...I LOVED Simmon's Hyperion Cantos...and ended up really likin' The Terror as it bored me at first but got good after a couple hundred pages...though Hyperion was a TRIP all the way through! :hi:

5. Yeah, sorry.
Summer of Night is my favorite Simmons novel (among many), and you should read it before starting "Winter". It could probably stand alone, but I'd recommend that you read them in order so that you'll understand the back-story. "Winter" is a sequel, and (in my estimation) isn't as good as "Summer of Night".

Do yourself a favor and take that one back to the library until you read "Summer" first. If you like Dan Simmons, I guarantee that you'll fall in love with that book. It's wonderfully scary, and written better.

14. I can be like that, but not all the time.
I'll read ten books in a month and then wont pick up another for the next three months.I'm so easily amused it doesn't take much to keep me busy.Internet, movies, random air molecules...you name it,it distracts me.
