Anybody here see GRINDHOUSE yet?
I'm concerned that this double feature only pulled in $20 million at the box office so far. If you've seen the flicks, what do you think? Worth the time and price of admission? Or should I wait for the DVD release?

2. Looks like I'd better catch the double-header soon...
I've heard that the intermission, if you can sit throught it, is a scream.

3. I give the 1st movie a 7
mostly just causa the ZOMBIES :headbang: but the people in it were ookay too

I give the 2nd half a 2, there wasn't much to save it, imho.

It was fun anyway because the theatre was packed and real 'vocally impressed'!

4. A friend of mine was talking about this last night.
The whole nostalgic grindhouse thing is aimed at people in their mid-30s to early 50s, but that demographic is unlikely to sit in a movie theater for 3 hours, so it's suffering at the box office.

6. I liked it a lot
The first one "Planet Terror" is the better of the two. "Death Proof" is good too, once it gets going. But Tarantino spends way too much time not really doing anything but talking. But the last 30 minutes of his movie are a blast as well.

I want people to go see it if for no other reason than for them to make a sequel with full length versions of "Machete" and "Thanksgiving". Those are movies with previews in the movie.
