I miss the days of DUers being called out for being in the 700 Club

Oldbies don't care about the post counts of the newbies, except those with less than 100 who sound suspiciously right wing. Newbies are just trying to blend in. If they call attention to themselves, they will get thrashed within inches of their life.

you've posted enough for folks to get some kind of idea who you are by then. (of course there are those who hang around to only expose themselves later but those are usually GDers.)

But, I do agree the group is so big now much of the familiarity and traditions have gone away. :-(

15. It's because of the cliques (which don't exist)

If someone enters the 700 Club and they're not in your clique (which doesn't exist), you're not gonna notice. And since cliques (which don't exist) tend to be comprised of people with similar DU experience, it's not likely that anyone in a clique (which don't exist) is gonna enter the 700 Club in the first place.

And, since it also isn't likely that someone with less than 700 posts will be in a clique (which don't exist), there won't be any veterans to warn them about the perils of the 700 Club.
