What are we all drinking tonight?
I'll be quaffing a nice pint or two of Trader Joe's Holiday Ale, 2006. It's a dark ale on lees and is very nice! I might wash it all down with an 18 year-old Bowmore single malt.

3. You ever try Belgian-style "white beers"?
If you like hefeweizen, you'd like a Belgian white. Blue Moon is quite good (though a bit trendy). My personal fave is a Quebecois version called Blanche de Chambly.

Oranges are for white beer. But I know people who say that real German Hefes don't use fruit at all.

10. The best bottle of $6 wine you'll ever find (and I'm not kidding!!)

It's a lovely crisp South African Savignon Blanc. It has hints of fresh fruit and I love drinking this stuff in the spring time! And it's cheap. South Africa hasn't exploded yet on the wine market like Australia and New Zealand have but South Africa has some great vineyards out there!

38. I am still at work. It is 3:40 pm here. I'll have a glass of '03 Guenoc Petite Sirah
after work. I can't wait...

2003 Guenoc Lake County Petite Sirah

This full-bodied wine has abundant fruit focusing on ripe berries, plum and spice with hints of smoky oak and vanilla in the finish.

Winemaker Notes:

Created from fruit sourced from vineyards in the Lake County growing region, our 2003 Lake County Petite Sirah was aged in a combination of French oak and American oak barrels for more than twenty-four months.

My favorite Winery:

http://www.langtryestate.com/guenoc-lake-county-petite-sirah.html

We go wine tasting in Lake County at least 3 times a year.
