2. Now, this is actually a valid question. |

:D
I don't see how you can make a martini with vodka. :puke: Then again, ever since last March, I've been prejudiced against vodka in general. :puke: :hangover:

7. Now now, good Vodka has its place. |

Making a screwdriver with gin, for example, would be horrendous. Cosmo's, Black Russians, Harvey Wallbangers, and Fuzzy Navels are also better with vodka IMO. Each drink has it's purpose, which is why my liquor "cabinet" actually fills three :)
Suddenly, I need a drink

Also, vodka made from potatoes is actually pretty rare and tends to be on the expensive side. Mostly, it's rye

Put 2.5 ounces of gin in the glass, and glance momentarily at the bottle of vermouth. Done.

11. try this for your next martini |
|
take your shaker can and swirl just a few drops of good Scotch in it, then dump the scotch and add your ice, gin and drop of vermouth
it gives the gin a smoky flavor that's wonderful

17. If you like Bombay, try Bluecoat Gin |
|
Made here in Philadelphia. Pot still gin, as opposed to continuous. Very herbal.
