Do you read posts in any "voice"?
Edited on Sat Apr-28-07 10:36 PM by mycritters2
I mean, for instance, whenever I see a post by hypnotoad, I always, in my head, imagine him to be speaking in the voice of "Bender". I kinda hope I never meet him, because if he doesn't sound like Bender, I'll be freaked out.

I also imagine an angry powerpuff voice for LeftyMom.

So, you see, it's official. I'm crazy as a bedbug.

some DUers have a 'voice' to me

and it's cool when I talk to them on the phone, then when I read their posts I 'hear' them

14. I dunno.....
my words are tough sometimes but I am one of those people who are always smiling so it's usually a soft tone with an undercurrent of humor

and a bit of a West Texas twang ;)

2. Wow, excellent question!
I don't, now that you bring it up — which strikes me as kinda weird, since I'm so audial.

Even those whose voices I know, I don't "hear" them when I read their posts.

3. Sometimes...
There are a few people here that i have 'head voices' for, but not many...

I'm much worse at other places i frequent, like LiveJournal (where i've known a lot of the people there for 5+ yrs).

5. Yes I do.
Even though I've not met most posters here or know their voices I still assign a unique voice to each poster.

6. I'll save you trouble with my voice
It's high pitched. Sort of a high frequency nasal sound. It is like a dog whistle for the left.

7. Only the people I actually have heard.
It's kinda neat how much funnier some people's posts are when you read them with their tone of voice.

i have imagined voices and a few du'ers that i know their voice and i hear their posts in that voice

it's funny because the ones i've heard don't sound how i pictured them, it makes me want to hear all du'ers voices at some point.

I wanna talk to du'ers!

15. The only two i have talked to have voices that i was way off on.
One has the sweetest voice you can imagine.
The other has a really nice voice as well for some retarded reason I expected her to have an english accent.
But she thought i would have more of a southern draw or something :)
so it's all good.

I'd hadn't thought about it, but I guess I do, I give voice to characters in books, so I guess I just carried it over here too.

22. Sometimes.
Those who tend to use a lot of CAPITAL LETTERS AND EXCLAMATION POINTS!!! "sound" a bit like Donald Duck.

BTW, I've met HypnoToad in person and he doesn't sound like Bender. Sorry.
