OK, but how do you get Scotchguard OUT of stuff?!? |
|
You lizards have been so good with Heloise Hints in the past how about this:
In the butt area of my new riding pants is this thicker patch of fabric, which apparently has been treated with some Scotchguard-like substance. I say "apparently" because I noticed riding on a vinyl seat in the sun yesterday, goo began to leach out of my pants and onto the seat. I had to pull with serious force (no joke) to get my pants off the seat, they stuck like nobody's business.
How would I go about getting that goo out of my pants? Or, for that matter, off the seat?

1. Probably not Scotchgard. Might be butt paste. |

3. Glad to see you posting in the lounge for help |

But I thought Scotchgard was used to prevent things getting INTO fabric?
It's silicone based, so removing it is as hard as removing "Robb is a dingbat" from the DU vernacular.
Be well

4. Try washing them in some Dawn. |
|
That stuff will break up ANYTHING. It also strips hair dye out in just a few washes, provided you don't mind being on unfriendly terms with your scalp for a while afterward.
