What is the most gut renching moment in movie history?
My pick... is a scene from the movie "Loving Annabelle"...

SPOILER ALERT!!!

If you plan to see this movie, stop reading right now! If you want to read ther other post below, if there are any, scroll down quickly...

Ready...

Okay...

Towards the end of the movie, at a school dance, Annabelle, a student- feeling that her teacher Simone, her true love, is drifting away- ask the band leader if she can sing a song...

In the Space between what's right and wrong,
you will find me waiting for you.
All your Fortresses go down in the night
Through the dawn I’ll see you through
‘Cos I know that you know – you’re all over me now
And it’s clear – you will show
And your curtains will go
But if your heart is cold
My sheets are warm
I will shelter you through the storm
I will shelter you all through the storm

Like I said in my other post, this is not a perfect movie... but it stays with you long after the credits roll. For the love of God, go out and see it!

Peace,

1. No spoilers...but both Stalingrad and Grave of the Fireflies have many that stand out.

No need to explain what that one is about.

From wiki;
It is an adaptation of the semi-autobiographical novel of the same name by Akiyuki Nosaka, intended as a personal apology to the author's own sister. Some critics (most notably Roger Ebert) consider it to be one of the most powerful anti-war movies ever made. Animation historian Ernest Rister compares the film to Steven Spielberg's Schindler's List and says, "it is the most profoundly human animated film I've ever seen."

3. Well, there a scene in The Abyss (spoiler)...
...in which the ex-husband has to help drown the ex-wife in order to save her life. It's difficult to watch, but I think it's magnificent.
