1. Can I ask the purpose of this joke?

I don't get it. It seems a little hurtful. Even if the joke is that there's really nothing to the joke, continuing it when someone takes it the wrong way just seems mean.

As someone who spends about equal time in the Lounge and GD, I don't understand the "rivalry."

20. I'm surprised by the angry replies

and the criticism of the Lounge while on the first page one of the new threads in GD:P is another "goodbye DU, you people are too contentious and insensitive" post. The Lounge or GD, people take themselves pretty seriously. I thought your thread was a "joke" in the sense that it was fun and may have encouraged new people to come visit us. Somehow, that turned out to be tasteless: I have no idea why. :shrug:
