Firefox has SCREWN me!
I downloaded v.2.0, and now it won't load anything — anything. Not even the Firefox start page. But AIM and YIM still work, as does AOL — via which I'm accessing the internets right now, and lemme tell ya, it's making me :puke:

Yes, I checked my firewall settings.

:banghead:

never, ever upgrade.

Upgrades are Evil.

I guess your e-mail's broke too, then.

:(

Edited because I'm an idiot.

4. Am on Firefox right now
Have you dumped it? Were you on AOL when you downloaded it?

7. About half a dozen times
Burped the modem the same number.

I can't figure out why everything would work except Firefox.

8. Maybe reinstall it?
Download it again, maybe a corrupt download?

I am stabbing in the dark.

10. Did that, too
Did an uninstall, then a clean reinstall.

Nemmind, though. I just read the release notes and found some inherent possible glitches with ZoneAlarm. So I've got some reconfigurin' to do with the firewall.

11. But, were you on AOL to access the Firefox page?
When I used to have AOL, learned that it was worth going to IE to do downloads as AOL screwed things up.

Or, were you actually using Firefox when you did the upgrade download?

Just trying to figure this out...

12. I downloaded it from Firefox

Only reason I go on AOL these days is to clean out my mailbox.

Anyway, see below. I think I got it — or, will.

Edit: I meant above. Grr.

13. Sorry to hear that.
I've just discovered the joys of the Ad Blocker Plus and NoScript add-ons. I've got Java and Flash scripts blocked, and I'm lovin' Firefox right now!
