Mother-Daughter Crime Team
Sure, they were just going to "hang out." What exactly was a 14 y. o. girl doing in a bar on a Monday night anyway?

--snip--
SHEBOYGAN, Wis. - A mother and daughter have been arrested for stealing from an out-of-town businessman they met in a bar. The man from Texas told police he met 34-year-old Eugenia Garrison and her 14-year-old daughter in a local bar Monday night and brought them back to his hotel room. He saw the girl grab $360 from his dresser and make a run for it.

"When he tried to detain the woman, the young girl, she indicated that she was going to claim rape," Sheboygan police Lt. Jeff Johnston said.

...

Johnston said he didn't know why the Texas businessman asked the 14-year-old to his hotel room. There was no evidence that he had committed any crime, he said.

"He just indicated that theyd been out and met each other at the bar, and went back to, in his words, 'hang out,'" Johnston said.

Nasty (rhymes with witch).

5. Actually both.
The kid was about 8 or 9 when I last saw her, and she was a total spoiled brat and a half.

Had this ear-piercing scream.

8. Its still legal in Wisconsin.
you can still go to a bar (and drink!) underage as long as your parents are there and buy it for you.

9. Wow! Legal, really? Still, I have to question anyone who'd allow it on a school night,
legal or not.

10. yup, I used to go to the bar with my dad.
when I was in high school.

Also, its legal in Wisconsin to drink underage if you are married to someone who is 21 or older, and they buy it for you.

11. A lot depends on the definition of "bar"
In my hometown there are several places that are considered bars but they have tables and serve food. A lot of people go there early in the evening with their family for dinner. Later, they become pretty rowdy bars. And people don't refer to them as restaurants though technically they are.

My question is why this guy would bring them both to his room. That's the part that seems really bizarre to me.
