In the divorce, who gets to keep DU?
If you and your partner, who also posts on DU, split, does one of you leave? Which one? Or, do you both stay? How would you stop fights from spilling over?

2. Based on a very spectacular breakup among DUers last year, I'd say
we don't care how you work it out, but please work it out somewhere other than HERE.

5. Hetero, or not?
If it's hetero, the woman gets the DU but the man gets visitation rights.
One week end a month and every other holiday.
If it's a gay couple, I dunno.

9. Hedges and I have joint custody.
Surprisingly, the "how would stop fights from spilling over?" question can be answered thusly: We are both grown-ups. (Yes, even Hedges, at least when it comes to this.) When one party (or both) is not, you have problems.

There is a reason to keep business and pleasure separate.

14. If two people live in the same city, does one have to move to another city?
On the other hand, with what I've seen here, I'd suggest everyone pack up and move out. To the Kingdom of Far Far Away.

17. It has happened on here.
I think if people were mature and considerate of others (which they sadly are not), they would refrain from gloating and acting like jerks to the ousted party in the relationship. I have seen examples of people who obviously are not mature enough or secure enough in their "new" relationship to manage to avoid being nasty and hateful. So sad.

And no, I am not, nor have I ever been, involved with anyone on DU.
