You have huge amounts of raw talent.
Now if you could just funnel it into more lucrative or fulfilling pursuits you'd be all set. :P

I broke was because it was so old, and had been washed so often, that it just kind of rotted in the handle and broke in the cork. I guess we should just buy a new one every decade or so.;(

OXO one... only about 3 or 4 years old. It's stupid, cuz I generally like OXO products.
I guess I'm stronger than I realize.

6. Maybe it was a right-handed corkscrew |
|
and a left-handed cork.

I don't drink wine.
I have NEVER tried to open a bottle that I didn't break either the corkscrew or the cork.
Give up.
Drink vodka instead. :)

I'm usually really good at it, but I had to dig out a 2nd corkscrew to get out the first one.
I suppose I could go for screwcaps.
I usually wait for my niece's hubby to make me appletinis and lemondrops, he's the expert barkeep in the family.

my bartender of choice. (Him or "Olga the HOT Ukrainian Bartender" at BD Reilley's). But tonight I'm on my own. The upside is my drinking is limited by my ability to stand up and walk to the kitchen to mix another drink. *snort*
Mmmmmmmm...lemon drops. I had a lemon drop with Andy when he was in Austin. :)

15. WE use the same mixer... |
|
and the same vodka...and yet somehow his are still just better.
Plus the tile in his bathroom is nice and cool. This is an important thing when you're too tipsy to stand up.

10. Sounds like you buy your corkscrews the same place I do. |
|
I broke about three in as many months until I decided to invest in one that cost more than $1.25. You really do get what you pay for.

12. Well, this was my nice one |

an OXO that cost me about 15.00 IIRC. I eventually dug it out with the 1.25 one, go figure.
