Had a 1983 Grand Am with a faulty catalytic converter which BBQed our home in 1998. Lost everything. Had $145,000 worth of insurance, which after dealing with the insurance company, wound up being a check for $65,000. Stephen King later sued this insurance company for inadequate payment on a health insurance claim. I believe he lost.
