my friend just told me the sweetest story and i had to share it

yesterday was my friend's fourth wedding anniversary and today is the third anniversary of her mother's death (breast cancer). may is a tough month for her.

when her sister moved out of their mom's house about 18 months ago, they had to get rid of all the cats their mom had (mom lived in a rural area and took in strays and fed the feral kitties). today, my friend goes to petsmart for cat food and, while looking at all the kitties up for adoption, she finds one of her mom's cats, the litter mate of her two cats.

my friend brought timmy home and said it's like he hadn't been gone a day.

i know how much she misses her mom and how much this means to her, i couldn't help but cry with her.

the universe is a funny and wonderful place
