He was very flambouyant. Also "Bugs" might be short for "buggery" an old-time legal expression for homosexual sex.

34. It was actually his sidekick. Apparently, Mystique from the X-Men series has had a lesbian affair!
DC Comics' "Green Lantern" No. 154 hits newsstands in September -- with main character Terry Berg beaten almost to death on a street.

Terry actually emerged as a gay character in 2001 in issue No. 137, which was cited by the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation as the year's best comic book. Terry is a sidekick to Kyle Rayner -- aka Green Lantern -- whose emerald ring gives him supernatural powers that keep New Yorkers safe.

Though he's a main character whose gay lifestyle is a running thread in the comic series, it's not the first time the comic book industry touches on gay issues.

The 1993 coming-out of Marvel Comics' Northstar, of the Canadian "X-Men" group Alpha Flight, was a sensation. "X-Men" characters Mystique and Destiny had an implied lesbian relationship, and the "Green Lantern" features lesbian supporting characters Lee and Li.

50. Lexington, from Gargoyles.
It was never explicitly stated in the cartoons, but the creator of the show stated he always considered the character to be, and I think that he will be "coming out" in an upcoming issue of the comics (if he hasn't done so already).

51. Butters, Terrence and Phillips, Eric Cartman, Mr./Ms. Garrison...
Butters DID get sent to that religious camp for gay kids. Terrence and Phillips spend a lot of time smelling each others farts. Eric Cartman once thought he was "Ling Ling" the Vietnamese prostitute and then there was the time he faked the world into believing that his hand was a famous female singer and his hand went on to do some VERY nasty stuff with her equally famous actor boyfriend..

Mr./Ms Garrison had some wild moments with Mr. Slave before switching genders and eventually discovered a lesbian bar and gave up on men. He/She never really forgave Mr. Slave for being dumping after his sex-change operation. Speaking of Mr. Slave, he is a gay leather fetishist who has experimented with Lemiwinks The Gerbil, sexually. Gwen Steffanni wrote a song about this incident which she titled "Don't Squeak", (somehow that title got slightly changed, but it became a big hit anyway!)
:;):
