TSA: In the Pocket of the powerful camping stove lobby

Just a heads-up to fellow travellers....

Dropped off Mrs. Robb at the airport, she's going on her annual "hang out with chicks" weekend, which this year has a camping component. Sent with her my brand-spanking-new camping cookstove.

Anyhow, TSA guy told me that since it was brand new, it could go in checked luggage (which was my plan from the start, I don't pack any metal besides the tinfoil hat in carry-on), but after it's been used, even if it's been fully drained of fuel, it can't go back on the plane.

Robb: "How should she get it back here?"

TSA Guy 1: "Mail it back."

Robb: "I can mail it, but not check it?"

TSA Guy 2: "No, you can't mail it either."

TSA Guy 1: "Yeah, you'll have to buy a new one."

This is funnier if you know our airport has 2 gates, one of which is never used, and this morning I saw no fewer than 12 TSA people standing around smoking.
