So, what have you got in your garden this season?
:hi: Over the Memorial Day weekend, we planted:

*Tomatoes (Early Girl, Beefsteak, Roma, and Better Boy varieties---14 plants total)
*Eggplant
*Yellow squash
*Zucchini
*Cucumbers (burpless, one pack of seeds, about 20 plants :yoiks:)
*Peppers (green bell, yellow bell, cayenne, jalapeno---1 plant each)
*Green beans (blue lake, one pack of seeds, about 30 plants :yoiks:)

I've also got basil and rosemary planted in pots. :)

We did pretty well with our organic garden last year. Our tomato yield was spectacular, and our pepper yield was pretty good. The bunnies devoured our squash and zucchini when the plants were young, so we're hoping to prevent that this year. (But bunnies have to eat too...:P) Our green bean yield was great, and we're still using some of them now. :) We canned a bunch of tomatoes and green beans and will again this year.

You?

1. Mine's going in this week...a wee bit late but it's been cold.
Tomatoes, cucs, bush beans, zucchini, potatoes. I'd love to try corn but I think it's too late.

2. Sounds good. We tried corn about six years ago and didn't
do very well with it. Maybe next year. :)

Good luck with everything! :D

9. We thought about habaneros, but I was afraid of our dogs getting into them.
:yoiks: One of our dogs totally avoids the garden, but the other one gets curious and sniffs everything. I think jalapenos would be bad enough, so that's what we did this year.

Sounds like a great garden! :hi:

4. No garden this year, we have a drought going on in Tennessee.
I don't want to risk having my well dry up having to water the garden. We are 10 inches below normal rainfall for the year.

11. I understand.
 I'm sorry about that. My sister's experiencing something similar. They're on well water and have similar issues.
