Well, I'm going back to the gym tomorrow. After a LONNNNNNG layoff... |
|
I have a membership to a decent gym...which is RIGHT NEXT to my apartment house (so distance is NOT an issue).
But because of lethargy and just not being in the mood, I haven't gone at all since November. And even then it was spotty.
However, after taking a look in the mirror today after I got out of the shower and not being completely entraced with what I saw, I've decided to begin changing my life. And with my counselling (to help with my emotional well being), it's time to begin changing myself physically as well. It's not a question of going on a diet...it's changing my life, as I see it. Actually treating my body as a temple.
I was thinking of doing one of those 12 week transformations, like Body For Life. If anyone has done those, some advice would be nice.
But wish me luck in my journey to realize I can be more. That I can push myself and do something for myself.

2. Just take it one step at a time. |

Body For Life is a good program. I own a gym and have helped countless women lose weight on a similiar program.
Drink more water. Eat more often (smaller meals, more often), cut back on carbs, bump up protein, limit fat, excercise regularly, don't eat carbs for one hour after working out.
And most of all, don't get discouraged easily.
FOCUS on where you want to be, not on how you look now.
