I did not agree with him 100% of the time, but I do believe he was the genuine article, and truly cared about the people and the planet.

I'm Catholic (by choice; yeah, I know), and John Paul II was a real hero to me.

And I love that pic! He had a sense of humor, which you don't often find in the Popinesses.
