My theory: Dumbledore is clearly modeled after Reagan and Thatcher |
|
His incredible leadership, his almost limitless intelligence, his strength, his love for even the least of his people even his enemies, his ability to nuance and see more shades of gray than most people even know exist...
Yep, I think Rowling is a serious Reagan and Thatcher lover, and has written Harry Potter not as a story for children, or even adults, but in its fullest expression as a loving tribute to the two greatest leaders of the past 200 years.
God bless you, JK Rowling, for giving us another Reagan to worship.

4. It was the good, Christian family-values of Reagan/Thatcher that inspired her to get off welfare |
|
and stop being a parasite on the system.
"I want to be more like Reagan and Thatcher, and I can't do that on welfare! I need to pull myself up by my bootstraps!"
I bet that's what she said.
