had to shut down one of my computers (which crashes when overheated) but my main rig, Xipe Totec can take the punishment.
My wife is downstairs in the one and only air conditioned room in the house.
My kids are playing cards in the cool basement.
while I sit here in the second floor, sweltering, dripping fat beads of sweat onto the keyboard.
Thank God for the beer...

Mine is only a 42" LCD (checking my LCD TV Sizerator spreadsheet, that's a mere 36.61" by 20.59"). I feel inadequate.

I did an entire summer at roughly 100 degrees once. Sit around in your drawers with a large towel to mop the sweat as it pours off you. No damned fun at all. And everything was slippery. I couldn't even hold on to a pen to write. It always felt like I had just gone swimming, only without the refreshing part. That freaking Eastern Kentucky heat was just brutal, about as bad as Atlanta.
I keep the shades down all the time here in my cave. I only need to run the AC for an hour or two before bed.

Interestingly, when I re-surfaced my kitchen counters with granite, I received something of a heat sink. If I open the windows at night, it's f-in' cold in the morning.
The stone keeps it cold all day if I close the windows before I heads off to work.
Of course, I live in the land of 50 degree temperature swings. Lordy but the sheetrock do take a beatin'. :D
(Edited to fix tense issues)
