Somebody Hit My Car This Afternoon
I'm in my car at a Shell station with my mom who is eighty nine years old and this guy back into my car ...I hunked the horn but he just kept coming...I can see him reversing into me but there was nothing I could do... He hit the side where my eighty nine year old mom was sitting... Thank God she didn't get hurt; just shook up and scared...

When we both get out of our cars he doesn't say he was sorry...

I was pissed...

2. He Probably Didn't Say He Was Sorry Because He Didn't Want To Admit Liability
Like you can argue your way out of reversing into a "standing" car...

I have a nice car too...I was "so" civil when I got out of my car...

3. That's terrible.
At least you two were ok.

I know how you feel. A woman rear-ended me about a month ago.

4. Not Rear Ended...
Though I have been rear ended three or four times in my thirty plus years of driving....Gawd I feel old...I'm 48...

I'm "standing" at the gas station and this yahoo reverses his car into mine...

9. I'm so sorry...
that had to have been terrifying and I'm glad that you're both okay. Cars can be replaced and all that happy crap...it's you and your mom and even the driver of the other car that count.

Don't get too hung up on the apology. The other driver probably *does* feel horrible. We had a collision between a driver and my youngest son a few months ago...the driver was worried about the dent in his car and only after about an hour did he bother to ask if my son was okay(and it wasn't even the driver...it was his wife who finally asked).

Go figure.

11. He Wasn't Going That Fast...
We were at a gas station so he couldn't reverse it that far and fast...But it doesn't take much to shake up an eighty nine year old person...I could feel the impact so I'm sure she could because it was her side...

7. Yikes! Glad you're both okay

As for not saying "sorry", I've always been told by my insurance company never to say it, as you're admitting guilt (even though he was blatantly in the wrong in your case).

Having said that, some idiot once crashed into me even though he was clearly in the wrong (going too fast, stopped and skidded 40 ft into me as I was parked, and his insurance company would only pay for half, as he was on the right hand side of me. :grr: He got out after the incident and said "sorry" )

8. Yeah- I Know You're Not Supposed To Say Your Sorry Because Of Liability Issues...
But he sees my mom in the car...He could have said I'm sorry...

12. NO
No, not even after the cop left...

And I must have mentioned it three times and at least once in the presence of the cop...

14. -:)
Knowing how people's minds work he's probably mad at me for being in that spot and that his insurance will go up...
