We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached.
Unable to accept its awful gaps, we still would live no other way.

"we still sould live no other way" -- ain't that the truth?
I couldn't live without kitties. My oldest is 14 1/2, but still frisky as a kitten. I hate that she's old, though, and every day I am grateful I have her in my life to bring me untold joy (as well as my other furry kids and my human kids).

we got a card from our vet as well. And they made a donation to cancer research in her name. So sweet.
