New Hampshire Bank Robbed by a Tree
MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - July 8, 2007 - Leaf it to New Hampshire, where a bank branch was held up by a man disguised as a tree.

Just as the Citizen Bank branch opened Saturday morning, a man walked in with leafy boughs duct-taped to his head and torso, and robbed the place.

"He really went out on a limb," police Sgt. Ernie Goodno said Sunday.

3. Even thieves are going "green".
Did he get away in a hybrid or electric car?

And more importantly, did he stash the loot in the trunk?

7. Dick Tracy is on the case!
Really:

Investigators say James Coldwell, 49, robbed the Citizens Bank at 1550 Elm St. while clad in clothing adorned with tree branches held on by duct tape.

Coldwell was charged with one count of robbery after answering questions at the police station, Capt. Dick Tracy said.

This bank is about a block from my house, and the media are having a field day. There were satellite trucks in the parking lot all weekend.
