I was in the audience. They were singing on stage. All 40 of them. It was the most bizarre thing... like dominoes or something. Entire chorus passed out.

I am hesitant to get into details...but I had aa...uhhmmm...encounter, in which a lovely young lady requested my company for the evening. About 2 hours into...well...you know...I realized that she was no longer 'with me'. A huge blow to the ego.

I was in one of those teen jewelry shops at the mall where people can get their ears pierced. A young teenager - maybe 13 - came in with her mom. It was pretty evident that mom was the one pushing the ear piercing. The girl was nervous. Anyhow, the deed was done, and when mom went over to the cashier to pay, the daughter passed out and fell forward onto the floor inches from where I was standing. I felt terrible that I hadn't realized what was happening until it was too late.
She was ok, just shaken up. Unfortunately, my then 10-year-old saw the whole thing and decided then and there she was never having her ears pierced. She's 14 now, and still hasn't changed her mind.

9. My mom on her first date with my dad |
|
They went to a bar and my mom ordered an "iced tea". As in, the kind made from little tiny leaves from India.
This being a bar, they gave her a "Long Island Iced Tea", as in, the kind that's like 60 proof. She didn't realize it, all 105 pounds of her.
My dad, in his nice crisp Coast Guard uniform, had to carry her back to her parents house. Out cold.
I bet that was an interesting discussion he had with Poppy...

10. A normally-aloof classmate in college |
|
I ran into her one evening in town, and she was suddenly so affectionate...very drunk, while I was just done studying and sober as could be. She was quite forward, so in seconds a plan is hatched, we've sneaked into her ladies-only dorm.... In her room: before we were fully, um, committed to coupling, she passed out astride me, fell onto me in a deep stupor. I could hardly go further (I mean, that would've been unsavory of me to say the least) so I put her to bed and sneaked back out of the dorm. She never acknowledged it, I never broached the subject, and we never had a reprise opportunity.
Funny part? She's now a writer/prod. for a major TV series. Thought I'd never hear her name again, but there ya go.
Funny thread...thx for waking up that odd memory.

You know at the beginning of a relationship when you first try to take it to that next level. I had plans to that night but we watched some crappy chick flick and we both passed out from boredom. She slept on top of me, nothing happened:(

15. What is it with some people and their cell phones... |
|
when you're out on a date! A lot of the girls I've been out with recently would answer every call while we were out on the date, it annoys the hell outta me! I can understand if they have a child at home and like the babysitter calls, but you can talk to your friend later. My ex use to do this all the time and it pissed me off.

they were readily available. It was his home phone, and his asshat roomie (who KNEW I was there) called him to the phone. Of course, the guy I was with was the bigger asshat, for taking the damned call!

I understand now why that is, but at the time, it really did suck. And if that ever happened again, I do believe I'd say something about it, then and there. I'm not a "hole" in the mattress, after all.

Normally between 9:00 pm to about 10:15 pm i am no good to the world. My friend and business partner gets pissed off at me sometimes because i on occasion fall asleep mid conversation.
