Jewish DUers: I need your assistance! (Re: the Horah at wedding receptions) |
|
When doing the Horah (in any situation really, but in this case, at a wedding reception), is it more common to begin the dance and music slowly and speed up, or to start in right at a good clip? Based on my knowledge, I would say the former, but some of my associates say they have also done the latter. Thoughts?

From what I have seen/experienced it starts slowly and speeds up. In fact, I thought that was the only way it started. I could be wrong. Haven't been to a whole lot of traditional Jewish weddings (which is where i have seen it)
