House M.D. casting *slight spoilers, I guess*
So it looks like House is getting a bunch of new helpers this upcoming season. I was wondering if they'd actually go through with the changes after the season finale this year, but I guess the powers that be really do need to find new roles for the previous Cottages (to borrow a TWOP term).

http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/TV/07/18/television.house.reut/index.html

Olivia Wilde, Kal Penn, Peter Jacobson and Anne Dudek have landed recurring roles on Fox's hit medical drama "House."

The four are expected to play characters who will be brought in after the resignations of House's (Hugh Laurie) underlings Foreman (Omar Epps) and Cameron (Jennifer Morrison) and the firing of Chase (Jesse Spencer).

Wilde will play a young doctor called Thirteen who will work closely with House. She most recently was on NBC's "Black Donnellys" and has had roles on Fox's "The O.C." and "Skin" and in the films "Alpha Dog" and "Turistas."

Penn co-starred in the film "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle" and its upcoming sequel and had a role last season on Fox's "24."

Jacobson is on the big screen in "Transformers" and most recently appeared on television in USA Network's miniseries "The Starter Wife."

Dudek most recently appeared in ABC's "Big Day" and had a recurring role on Fox's "Bones."

1. Good for Kal Penn.
He should be doing more real acting. He's very good at it, and the insipid teen movies are doing little for him.

The others, I've never heard of.

3. Harold & Kumar go to White Castle was an insipid teen movie??
Bite your tongue! I thought it was genius! (Of course, the copious amounts of marijuana that I partook of while watching it probably clouded my judgment JUST a tad. ;))

4. I was completely sober when I saw it the first time and I *still* thought it was genius...
it really made me want White Castle after seeing it though

9. No, I loved that flick.
I mean Van Wilder, Bachelor Party Vegas and similar shit he's done. Harold and Kumar transcendeth all, and I don't even smoke weed, nor do I care much for stoner humor, yet that flick SLAYS me. Brilliant from start to finish.

17. I wasn't pleased with the Battle Shits scene...
(I'm not a big fan of bodily functions humor) but the rest was really good.

14. LOL, I remember that line!

BTW, did you hear about the new season? Apparently, they had to scrap most of the storyline because it was going to cost too much since much of it was going to be filmed in Africa -- read that on IMDB recently.

2. I guess the writers really wanted to shake things up a bit...
usually TV producers don't like to scrap 3/4 of a show's cast in one go but I got to hand it to the people at House for taking a chance. Never the less, I can't wait for the new season to begin

5. I'm so sad to see Cameron, Chase and Foreman go...
But I'm still excited for the new season. The only reason I would quit watching would be if they got rid of Hugh Laurie himself. I LOVE that man.

7. You don't think "Wilson M.D." would be as good?
Come on!

Just joking of coure, Hugh carries that show on his back.

10. I hope they never get rid of Wilson either...
the sort of yin and yang, light and dark side thing between House and Wilson produces some of the best scenes in that show

Especially in that brooding role.

11. They should bring in 7 of 9.
I think a Borg working with House would be fucking awesome - especially a huge breasted hot-as-hell Borg. Rowr.

13. Did I miss something?
When did Cameron and Foreman resign? Why did Chase get fired? I know I missed a couple of episodes, but geez! What's going on? Omar Epps can't leave! Who's going to be House's foil? Cameron can go take a flying leap. Her character got more and more annoying each season.

15. Foreman quit because he thought he was "turning into House"...
Chase got fired and Cameron quit too.
