At the time that ASS started filming, the Rupert Show had already started, so putting him on ASS was a given.

But nobody knew Sandra had won. She was just another Survivor. So sticking her on ASS would have been a huge spoiler.

9. the first half of S7

Was, essentially, The Rupert Show. Until he got booted, he was clearly the focus and star of the show. And rightfully so, he was an amazing personality on television.

So it was unquestioned that he'd be on All Star, regardless of how he placed.

But Sandra wasn't a main focus of the show, nor was Jon. Not when filming began. And word got out right quick who was on the show. Hard to hide it when 18 former Survivors drop off the face of the earth, right?

The thing to remember is, filming on All Star started midway through the airing of Pearl Islands. Had we known Sandra was on All Star, wouldn't that have been a serious clue that she was in the finals or a winner?

Rupert, though, was destined for All Stars whether he won or not.

I can't stand Jerri, but neither can most people. So, that is why she's on the show.

Kathy is one of the most popular Survivors of all time, as is RobC. Remember, Rob Cesternino was called "the best player ever who didn't win." He was an automatic return.

Kathy was the one ray of shining light that redeemed the horrible dreck that was Season 4, Marquesas.

Shii Ann? They needed someone from her demographics, and they didn't have anybody from Thailand.

The biggest question marks for me are Shii Ann and Amber. Ambot? :wtf: She's there because she's cute, and they couldn't get Elisabeth or Colleen or Kim Powers.

I'm not a fan of Rob Mariano's, but I know he has a following out there.

I'm picking Richard to go deep or go early. (Secretly, I've picked him to win it all, although I know it's highly unlikely.)

I couldn't stand Kathy. She was the know-it-all Debb Eaton of Marquesa. The Robs both embraced lying and betrayal which is an acceptable tactic, but its not a strategy.

But it seems that a lot of the players from older seasons are already friends and that there are a lot of potential alliances and obvious targets. I'm afraid that the more famous players might take each other out and let the boring people win.

I don't know how she made it to ASS. She tried to work both sides of the street and failed miserably. I'm rooting for Rudy. Ya just gotta like that guy. Tina is nice too.
