There is a whole Ender's series. Speaker for the Dead is the next book, then it is followed by Xenocide. I stopped there but only because I never had money whenever I came across the books in the store. My best friend loves them
However she likes the Alvin Maker series most, I never got a chance to read them and she has yet to let me live it down.
Orson Scott Card is a genious.
I have been waiting for them to make that book into a movie for years. About 8 years ago they had a movie in pre-production with Elijah Wood as Ender, unfortunately it fell through. But I can't cry too much he got to be Frodo and now will be loved for the rest of his life.

9. Last time I checked Card's website, the movie was still in development |
|
I love Card's Ender saga, the Homecoming saga, Lovelock and Pastwatch.

4. OSC, the writer I both love and hate |
|
I have read all of his books a few times, and many of them are great. At the same time some of his more recent work really bothers me. He also claims to be a democrat but has been very supportive of Bush ever since he took office.

5. I have similar thoughts about Steven King. |
|
I love his early books, but the later ones leave much to be desired, IMO. (I have friends that would freak out if I said this to them.)
What about Dean Koontz? I love his stuff.

6. I've only ventured into Koontz once |
|
and it is one of the few books that I have ever started and not finished, I'm sure some of his stuff is good, but he just didn't seem to be my flavor. I have read some Steven King and I liked it well enough, but I would never go out of my way to read one of his books.

8. Dean Koontz and Stephen King are on the same level. |
|
And believe me, I do go out of my way to read their books.

11. The sequels are good too |
|
Especially the second book: Speaker for the Dead.
There is also a series written from the perspective of Ender's classmate, Bean. I believe it's called "Ender's Shadow" or "Shadow of the Hedgemon"... or something like that.
Orson Scott Card... fabulous writer.
