Talk me out of it.
I've decided that I can't stand people anymore.

They're irritating and obnoxious and the less I have to deal with them, the better.

Am I going through a mid life crisis?

I used to love people and was even nicknamed "Sunshine" in my younger years. :P

I was always so happy and pleasant and sweet.

Not anymore.

Now, I'm

14. I'm also a hermit, but I think that makes people even more
irritating.

I do, however, believe that if anyone ever called me Sunshine, I might become violent.

Maybe all the hermits on earth should get together and form a therapy group, or sorority or fraternity. We could collect dues and go on field trips.

16. I liked the nickname at the time but I was
19 and very naive' at the time. ;)
I was a kid when that was going on and I was young and beautiful and dumb! :P

Maybe that's why I feel violent now, when I encounter idiots?

I find it very relaxing... helps me to deal with those situations where I just want to reach out and slap someone.

30. I'll second the Yoga
Also meditation. Also spending time with your cat/dog/iguana/tropical fish.

Sometimes you just have to withdraw from the world for a time. Draw, paint, write poetry, teach yourself a musical instrument, fly kites, garden - whatever captures your imagination. Personally, when I get the urge to slap the snot out of humanity, I make quilts or play with my Tibetan singing bowls.

Or just lie on the sofa with a cup of hot chocolate and a trashy novel.

33. Quilts!
I've always wanted to make quilts and learn how and it's funny you
said that because I've been thinking a lot about what designs I'd make.

You're right!!

I should now focus my energy on creativity and just screw the world; for a while.

Thanks for reminding me. ;)

I would never bother you! :P I'm very quiet at my place.

I used to be a loud partier with lots of people dropping by.

But those days are gone and so are they. :(

The police were only called once in the last eight years! :P

Funny how friends move away and die and life changes...

It sucks!!!!

22. I cut my hair the other day too.
My son actually said, "WTF? You CUT your hair?!?"

I only cut off 6 inches but it's still down to my butt. :P

I plan on cutting even more!

With the humidity lately, after the cut?

It started curling up! OMG!! :)

I'm going to cut more off but not real short, just below my shoulders seems right.

I think I need a big change! NOW!!!!!!!

I hope if you make some big changes, that it helps with what you're feeling. :D

Edited on Fri Jul-20-07 08:38 PM by Breeze54
despite how crappy they treated me.... maybe I just wanted to be liked.

Now, I feel like I have a sort of 'permission' to feel what I really feel and say it out loud.

I'm guessing my children made me suppress those feelings. I really wanted to be a good example for them.

I was treated like crap by my parents, teachers and my molestor at age five..

It was a difficult thing to deal with, growing up and even now...

35. LMAO!
All the time and I got reprimanded last week for being a brat.

That did piss me off, as the (oh nevermind) freepers were multiple.

But I think I'm also feeling lonely and like an empty nester.

My youngest just graduated HS and is never here anymore.

I need some new people in my life. I know it.

34. I've been a hermit my entire life. Not entirely by choice either.
I'm apathetic.

Maybe I'll find somebody who'll help me change my mind again too.

BTW: As a kid I was called "Guy Smiley"... (amongst other things, but G.S. was by far the least offensive, despite being used in an offensive way...)

Funny thing happened!! :P

The guy that was bartending there, 3 months ago? He remembered me!!

How cool is that?!? And he's cute, single and sweet and a nice person!

He even remembered what I like to drink; without the lime! :P

And apologized because some old farts said the music I played was to loud! :P

Made me feel better. A lot better.

;)
