*SPOILER* Hermione in Harry Potter 7
How about the "Mudblood" standing up to the torture given by the quite sociopathic and mad Bellatrix, she of the pure blood and a long lineage? The Muggle girl took all she gave and never broke or begged for death, unlike some others, eh?

1. Definitely give it up for Hermonie. . .
But also to Mrs. Weasley for being the one who gives Bella the final strike. . . and not to mention having the best line in the whole book.

6. Seem to remember...
...that Mrs. Weasley's brothers, Gideon and Fabian Prewett were killed by Death Eaters.
Sirius Black was also a sort of cousin...not to mention fellow Order member.
Her taking on Bellatrix was personal, and not just for Fred.
Poor George...I liked those two as unit, the way they operated.

7. VERY personal
And, she also thinks of Harry as an adopted son, and is very close to Hermione -- I think her "Stay away from my children!" didn't only include those with the last name of Weasley. She was also probably somehow related to Tonks.

She ROCKED! I loved seeing her cast aside her cloak and her persona of "Mother" and show herself to be a very great warrior and spellcaster. Because, even though she was quite mad and quite evil, Bellatrix was also a very, very strong and skilled witch. I cannot wait to see the always wonderful Julie Walters play this scene in the movie!

10. Well, she's *sorta* related to Tonks..
Edited on Tue Jul-24-07 09:28 AM by kay1864
Arthur Weasley and Ted Tonks are second cousins once removed or something, so she's sort of a third cousin once removed by marriage. :dizzy:

I didn't know that Arthur's mother was a member of the Black family.

12. Yup
Probably have pretty lenient marrying-your-cousin laws in Potterdom. Not that they make genetic sense anyway.

16. So that would make Tonks...
Arthur's second cousin twice removed, and third cousins twice removed with the Weasley kids.

I think.

If you go up or down the generation, it's removed. 'Across' them (cousins) is where you get into second, third, etc...so you can be somebody's first cousin three times removed...but there'll be a HELL of an age difference.

13. Hell, yeah!
"NOT MY DAUGHTER YOU BITCH!" or something like that. I'll be sorely disappointed if they don't use that in the movie.

9. My fave line
"I'm the man who raised Fred & George." Such an understatement!

But yeah, poor George. Why did she have to off Fred? I would have been okay with a Percy-blasting, but Fred???

3. Hermione took the nasty label and wore it proudly.
I hope her parents were OK, though. I wonder what happened to the Dursleys.
