We, as a society, let celebrities (and sports figures) get away with just about anything. And our children look up to these vermin as role models.

THAT is a big part of the problem and you bet few can point that out. Because anything that's profitable just can't be questioned. That's why O'Reilly hosted a program on FOX cable about the demise of morality in our media, yet keeps an eye blind on FOX broadcast, of which many of their shows manage to redefine sleaze every week. Though compare that to certain elements of the music industry and there are real problems afoot.
