It's like P2P file sharing, only better because you get the actual book mailed to you. You list books that you don't want anymore, and people request them. Your only cost is mailing it out to them. When you request a book, it comes to you for free. The only thing you need to do is list/ship out more than you request to keep your account in the positive figures. I had two requests within an hour after joining yesterday for old books that I had somehow gotten duplicates of over the years.
