18. Ah....Milk from Jugs!
Edited on Sat Aug-04-07 05:52 PM by Danmel
When my daughter was an infant, my little cousin, who was about 9 and lived in Maryland was visiting and was playing with Melanie and asking me about her. I was nursing her but I hadn't fed her in his presence. So he asked me does Melanie eat cereal yet? And I said no, not yet Davide. And he asked "Does she drink milk from jugs?" My husband just completely cracked up. I of course said no, David, I am nursing her! It was pretty funny.

I will get back to you guys this evening.

fresh (less than 24 hours old) from the organically-pure, unabused cow or goat. Broad daylight, damn the damned witnesses.

Anybody have any idea how I relocate a goat to the Bronx and keep it happy?

52. I should have been more specific.
Edited on Sat Aug-04-07 11:14 PM by Chan790
Steps:

-Hand milk goat into pail.
-Decant into bottles.
-Refrigerate milk.
-Drink within 24 hours...preferably with a lovely tart or pastry or cookie or pie.

Anything else is asking to be stepped upon.

8. Even if you are the only milk drinker in your household, don't drink out of the carton!
It's a good way to introduce bacteria to the remaining milk.

Always use a cup or glass.

Have you noticed the price of milk lately? I gasped at the $4.17 tag on whole milk last night...Skim milk is $3.89 a gallon! I am converting to dry milk/skim milk mixture for the husband's cereal bowl in the morning and hope he doesn't notice.

Why? Why? Milk is important to healthy diet!

60. Hmm...interesting question!
I actually like the taste of the goat milk...but I think milk's a bit heavy for me as a regular beverage. That's why I use the almond milk for the fruit shake that I have every day; it's fairly light.

Cost is also another reason; either of them don't come cheap! $5.49 for 2L of organic goat milk, and almond milk is close to $3 for a litre.

62. Yeah, the stuff's gotten pricey...
...my wife introduced me to "Continent 8" vanilla soymilk and it's yummy on cereal. Otherwise, I'm pretty much a milk guy...

haven't tried almond milk, though. Sounds good...me and goat milk products don't get along though.

64. They've just introduced hempseed milk
It was even on sale. I think I'll give it a try - but once again, it's very pricey. The sale price was around $3.5 for 1 litre, a dollar off the regular price)

I've never seen the Continent 8 - I used to like Silk until they doubled the sugar content. Now I think it tastes gross.

66. If you liked the old Silk you would probably liike Continent 8...
...I don't know how readily available it is...we can only find it at Raley's around here.

67. Dang! I checked out the website
and it said it's not available in Canada at this time.

Yet they had a box in the search that said "postal code".

I'll still be on the lookout for it - perhaps they're looking to expand soon. Thanks for the recommendation! :hi:

65. It's been over fifty years since I drank milk
I always hated it.

When I got old enough to refuse to drink it, I stopped.

I think my hatred developed because I grew up on a farm, and our milk was from our own cows and was un-homogenized, so little cream flecks floated on top. Ick!!

68. Don't like it plain
I like it when it's flavored with chocolate, I like it with cereal, and I LOVE dairy products. However, I just can't stomach it plain

73. the thought of drinking milk straight from the carton or jug really creeps me out
a glass bottle, perhaps, but it's been years since I've had my hands on one of those. Cup or glass (or bowl, with cereal) only for me ...

96. I have been known to imbibe, in the dead of night,
from the carton. But only in my younger, wilder days.

Once, I went to pour some milk for cereal and the carton had a disgusting chocolate mouth ring around it. That was the last time I allowed my brother to stay overnight. I mean...really...how sick do you have to be?

99. I will count that as an answer which suggests...
...that you are fastidious regarding your milk "delivery to target" process...

Short, pithy, succinct, as befits a Mod..
