13. They must want their little girl to grow up into one of those bikini girls with machine guns.
Bad parenting. As if the streets weren't dangerous enough without bikini-clad machine-gun gangs.

16. Two of my female cousins (sisters) got rifles and dolls for Christmas
When they were in the middle of elementary school. I don't think that they got cute cases to go with it though. Their father, who was a state park ranger at the time, was into hunting and nature and they lived in semi rural Southern Ohio. I know that some Duers are opposed to buying rifles for children. I, a teenager, at the time thought that it was amusing though that they got both girly stuff (like the dolls) and rifles which seemed to be on the opposite end of things.

7 years old.

but he would have NEVER got me a case like that. He was very very insistent that guns WERE NOT TOYS!!!

He would be appalled at such a thing I think.

24. I shot my very first weapon just recently, you'll be thrilled to know
Edited on Sun Aug-05-07 07:28 PM by Shine
we were having a family reunion on my cousin's 220 acre farm and one of my other cousins is a fire arms instructor for the DEA and he'd brought up his guns, in case anyone wanted to do some target shooting. I figured I'd never have another chance, so I went for it and shot an M-4 military class weapon. It was scawwwy. :scared: Not exactly my cup o' tea, but now I can say I've at least shot a gun ONCE in my life. :D

She's already told me she wants this rifle when she grows up:
