'Gigli' breaks bad movie awards record: Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's dead-on-arrival "Gigli" leads the competition as the worst film of 2003. So says bad movie experts, The Bad Cinema Society, a Los Angeles-based group of movie buffs and critics. With an unprecedented 12 nominations to its credit, the film broke the society's previous all-time nomination record of ten held by 1999's "Wild Wild West." Worst film nominees for the society's 26th annual awards are Boat Trip, Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd, The Cat in the Hat, From Justin to Kelly, and Gigli. Worst actor nominees are Ben Affleck (Daredevil, Gigli, Paycheck), Macaulay Culkin (Party Monster), Cuba Gooding, Jr. (Boat Trip, The Fighting Temptations & Radio), Justin Guarini (From Justin to Kelly), and Mike Myers (The Cat in the Hat). Worst actress nominations went to Drew Barrymore (Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle & Duplex), Kelly Clarkson (From Justin to Kelly), Kate Hudson (Alex and Emma & How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days), Lisa Kudrow (Marci X), and Jennifer Lopez (Gigli). Supporting actor nominees are Alec Baldwin (The Cat in the Hat), Justin Bartha (Gigli), John Malkovich (Johnny English), Roger Moore (Boat Trip), and Sylvester Stallone (Spy Kids 3D: Game Over). Supporting actress nominees are Karen Black (House of 1000 Corpses), Penelope Cruz (Gothika & Masked and Anonymous), Robin Givens (Head of State), Lainie Kazan (Gigli), Estella Warren (Kangaroo Jack). Only members of the Bad Cinema Society may cast votes. To join the society and cast your ballot or to view the complete 18 category ballot, go to www.thestinkers.com. Stinkers award "winners" will be announced by the group on Sunday, February 22, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. P.S.T., one week prior to the Academy Awards telecast. The group's website has received more than one million hits.

I highly recommend it, half the time you are just stunned that they can get their lines out. Imagine Chasing Amy/Godfellas/Rainman - all the intelligent dialogue and plot lines. It gets a solid 9 for watchability, if you like MST3K it is a must see.

2. What? No "Brown Bunny"...?
I think they would have at least merited a special nomination to Vincent Gallo and Chloe Sevigny for Worst Non-Simulated On-Screen Blow Job Given To The Director/Star...
