37. An ex of mine had a hedgehog... she had a habit of naming her pets
Edited on Sat Aug-18-07 03:47 AM by DarkTirade
after charaters from Buffy the Vampire slayer. Unfortunately, she'd already named one of her weiner dogs Spike, so the hedgehog was named Xander instead. :)

Oddly enough, Spike (short for 'Sir William Spike the Bloody) was the biggest wimp out of all of her dogs. He was scared of his own shadow. And that's saying a lot, since weiner dogs don't cast much of a shadow...

22. Stupid?
Oh that makes me sad. HAnk was the lot dog at the trucking company where my dad worked. When we bought the farm, the first thing he did was coax him into the truck with him. That dog loved my dad. It killed my dad that he had to shoot him after he got a sucking chest wound thanks to a bastard neighbor.

35. I only have one good pic of my gecko
Her name is Frank. I named her before I found out she was a girl. :)

(A little big, I know. Unfortunately I don't have a thumbnail sized pic for that one.)

I also had two cuban tree frogs, Sam and Frodo.

Sam is the big one, Frodo is the little one. They changed color to match the background, so what you see there isn't how they always looked. :)

Unfortunately I have no pictures of my newest pet... I rescued her from drowning a week or two ago. And by 'drowning' I mean running out of oxygen... because she wasn't in the water. I was just walking into Wal-Mart (I know, evil, but I work the night shift. It's the only place open at 4 in the morning.) and it was very dark. There were no lights in that part of the parking lot. But I noticed a small, dark shape in front of me on the ground.

I looked a little closer and thought, "Is that a gigantic bug? No... too many limbs."

I looked again and noticed that it had claws, "Is that a gigantic... scorpion? No way... biggest scorpion I've ever seen in this state was less than a centimeter long." So I nudged her with my shoe, and she reared up, looking to see what nudged her.

It was a crawfish. Crawling along, in the middle of the parking lot. At least half a mile away from any water source bigger than the four or five feet in diameter retention pond nearby. I don't know how she got there, but I did my shopping really quick, and picked up a cheap tupperware container when I was in there. She'd only managed to crawl about 10 feet by the time I got back out. So I snatched her and put her in some water when I got home. And now I have a crawfish named Roadkill in my room. :)

78. We always had orange tabbies come to our house and integrate themselves....
I love them. They are my favorite.

81. Beautiful cats!
The dog is a cutie....
I wasn't expecting ferrets. Nice choice.
My husband loves your lizard.

85. Thanks you!!
We enjoy them all!

Godzilla loves when I bring crickets home. He sees the bag, watches me transfer them to the cricket keeper and gets really active and starts pushing his snout up against the glass in anticipation!

My "pup" is very similar. Trina finally understands not to get too involved with my typing though. :D

82. Oh no....
Mine doesn't get involved...she just lays so heavily across my chest that it's hard to balance her and type at the same time.
What kind of a dog is that? She doesn't look entirely dachshund.

83. Dachshund/beagle
I think also part groundhog, alarm clock, and human too :)

That's her favorite stance when she wants something. She'll come up to me and sit like a groundhog until she gets it :D

84. Pru does that for her granny.
I haven't really seen her do it until yesterday when she wanted some chicken strip treats.
