You can't just move up here. Immigration is not easy and you have to jump thru many hurdles these days and pay a lot of money. I married a Canadian soit was fairly straightforward, but, a coworker marrid an American a year ago and it is going to cost them thousands of $$$. All because they didn't go about it in the proper way. He's now living here illegally and if found out could jeopardize the whole thing and get kicked out permanently.

Who would want to retire to that? I think there may be some in Victoria, BC though.
