4. No no, a personal friend

Killed in a car accident...rather wretchedly handled by the local media, who didn't see one of the most brilliant, kind, beautiful human beings I have ever met, a girl who was going to school to become a doctor so that she could find a cure for cancer, but just a dirty Mexican food-service worker who was out riding around at 5:00 in the morning. They didn't show a picture of her, they didn't talk to her family, they didn't even bother to pronounce or spell her name right...they filmed the bloody rock where she hit her head and repeated the baseless official suspicion that alcohol and high speeds were involved (in reality the roads were icy and the rear axle broke, which caused a wheel to fly off and sent the vehicle rolling three times. But they never explained that...)

But anyway, the intent of my sticky was to memorialize the incredible person she was, not the disgusting handling of her death. I'm afraid I let bitterness get the better of me.

5. The media suck

and they handled her death mucho poorly.

I wish everyone here could have known how she was - she lit up a room.

The boys were all in love with her and the girls didn't even care because we were in love with her, too.
