14. Me too!
I honestly thought the Monkees lived near us, because they sang about Clarksville and Pleasant Valley, both towns in eastern Iowa. I used to watch for him EVERYWHERE....because I knew we were destined to get married!

He must have moved, though.

I went to summer camp in '76 or '77 with a girl whose big crush was Micky.

3. What?
Mickey Mickey you're so fine, you blow my mind hey Mickey? Hey Mickey!

That Mickey?

What's the "new Halloween"? Not some scary sh*t movie, is it? (I HATE THOSE! I refuse to watch those.)

I was in love with Mickey Dolenz when he was the Circus Boy.

I recognized him right away when he was a Monkee.

Everyone thought I was crazy, kept saying he wasn't the same guy. He was.

Ok - I'm an old f*rt. What can I say?

(Wow. I just realized that a guy I had a crush on for - oh - 30 years - bore a striking resemblance to him. Wow.)

7. I think we were soul mates in a previous life.

Dolenz began his show business career in 1956 when he starred in a children’s show called Circus Boy under the name Micky Braddock. In the show he played an orphaned boy who is the water boy for the elephants in his uncle’s one-ring circus at the turn of the 20th century. The program ran for three years

That's so weird. Because - ok I was born in '56 - how come I remember that show so vividly? How did I *know* who he was when the Monkees made their appearance? weird, huh?

I don't think they "did reruns" back then, did they? Or maybe they did. Heck I was very very little, you know.

41. Ohhh too cool.
Micky Dolenz was my favorite Monkee. All my friends liked Davy, but I preferred drums to a guitar or tamborine. I don't like the Halloween movies, but I may have to see if some clips are available that show him. Many thanks.
