Yet another reason to despise the very fake and self-serving Oprah Winfrey
Not that one needs any more excuses, but I find Oprah quite lovely in that she is, indeed, constantly keeping the reasons to loathe fresh and current. Not one to sit on past tantrums, misdeeds, fakery, hypocrisy, and whatnot. No sir.

I wonder if she shed any of her fake tears over this? Or just went into one of her famous toddler-ish "I can't have what I want!!!" tantrums?

(I were a presidential candidate and my 'host' did this for a fundraiser for me, and I found out about it, I would so give her a major dressing down and insist that my people make amends to the wedding couple, get those rooms back, pay for them, and do whatever I could to manage the damage control that my "oh so generous 'host'" felt the need to do. I hope Obama has the integrity to do so.)

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20465878/

she may have no compunction booting a bridal party from a booked hotel if she needs the rooms for her famous friends.

The talk-show host and Barack Obama supporter is planning a Sept. 8 fundraiser for her favorite candidate at her Santa Barbara-adjacent estate. Unfortunately, the nearby San Ysidro Ranch, where Oprah wants her guests to stay, is totally booked by a wedding party, The New York Post’s Page Six reports.

"Due to the proximity to and the cachet of the ranch to Oprah Winfrey's estate, Oprah's people have been calling the bride to either move or vacate some of the rooms to accommodate her guest list,"

Total Class-A jackass, she is.

I didn't watch the show so I don't know if they edited him out or not for refusing to sign their release, great read at the link:

4. Wow. Just, wow.
Doesn't surprise me, though.

Oprah's show is totally about Oprah, not about her guests. Her guests serve only as the catalyst to show off Oprah's "sensitivity" (her fake tears and cloyingly fake "moving in closer because I care, I really, really care" posture) and famous people she knows and her supreme "empathy" with her guests, which always results in Oprah interrupting the guest to tell a personal story about something only tangentially relevant to the guest's pain ("Your dad beat you? Oh, I totally understand the kind of shame that comes with that and feeling of defeat - I ordered a steak once - I was in Paris with Jack Nicholson - and it came to me burnt (audience exhales a heartfelt, "Nooooo!"), "Seriously, it was burnt. It was just awful. I'm sure your beatings were just like that experience. I'm so sensitive.")

5. I can't stand Oprah, but I don't see a big problem with her *asking* the bride
nicely about the possibility of giving up a few rooms and offering a LOT of compensation (I *think* she's got the cash). And if the bride says no, drop it. However, if O starts making idiotic demands and throwing tantrums then yes, she's a class-A jackass.

And I totally agree the big reason I cannot stand her show is that it's just all "ME-ME-ME-ME-ME-ME-ME-ME-ME-ME" the entire time. She can turn ANY issue, any topic, and conversation into an excuse to talk about herself. I don't know how people can stand it. Why does she even bother with guests? She should just have cardboard cut-outs in the chair with talk balloons that say "so tell me more about you Oprah!"
